Lékié Loop: Construction Delays Fuel Anger Ahead of Elections

The Lékié Loop construction, launched in December 2022, is significantly delayed with an execution rate of 57.03% as of July 13, 2026. Initially scheduled for December 2024, the project has been postponed to November 2026. The Ministry of Public Works reported insufficient mobilization from Arab Contractors and organizational difficulties, while construction on the Ngobo River bridge had not yet begun.
