Leprosy in Senegal: 42 new cases in Kaolack, Souleymane Dia calls for strengthened prevention

The Kaolack region reported 42 new cases of leprosy, increasing the urgency to intensify prevention and support for affected communities, according to Souleymane Dia. He emphasized the need to strengthen early detection and social support actions. The Leprosy Affected Communities Resilience Program (PRCAL) aims to promote inclusive development in the nine former social resettlement villages. Dia also advocated for the allocation of new land to create a community farm.
