L’Incidence, a French-language science outlet powered by artificial intelligence, officially launched

Launched in early September 2026, L’Incidence is a French-language outlet focused on making health and science accessible to the public. Its founder, epidemiologist, biostatistician and science journalist Dr Lamoussa Diabaté, outlined how it works on October 20. Specialized artificial intelligence agents handle tasks including source research and analysis, scientific assessment, plain-language explanations, content checks, visual production and distribution. Production and validation are assigned to separate agents so that one system does not create and approve its own information.

TUMAINI uses ring vaccination for high-risk contacts and was officially launched in Bunia by Ituri’s military governor, Major General Gaby Kasongo Mulumba.
