Fighting resumed on Sunday in Kati, near Bamako, between jihadists and the Malian army, following coordinated attacks by jihadists allied with Tuareg rebels. The garrison town of Kati was attacked by Jnim jihadists, allied with Al-Qaida, and Tuareg rebels from the FLA. Residents report that fighting is taking place throughout the town, with jihadists positioned on a hill overlooking Kati and aviation also involved in the clashes.
