Local development: Bas-Mono 1 Municipality looks ahead to 2036

Bas-Mono 1 Municipality in Togo’s Maritime Region has begun preparing its Municipal Development Plan, which will guide local priorities and investments through 2036. Its vision is to build an attractive, prosperous and resilient municipality, with participatory governance, a competitive local economy and an inclusive, secure living environment. Prefect Sogbo Kokou Amétépé and Deputy Mayor Romain Dansou said the plan should reflect community aspirations and help address local challenges. The process will include a socioeconomic assessment, identification of the area’s strengths and constraints, and the collaborative setting of development goals and priorities.
