The Long-Distance Drivers and Conductors Association (LoDDCA) has ordered an immediate halt to all cargo loading destined for South Sudan due to congestion at the Elegu border point. The situation is worsened by a strike by drivers protesting rising insecurity along the Nimule-Juba corridor, following recent incidents involving Kenyan drivers. LoDDCA stated that the suspension will remain in effect until safety and operational measures are restored.
