London court acquits Alison-Madueke of all corruption charges

Former Nigerian Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke was acquitted by a London jury of six bribery charges after a trial at Southwark Crown Court. Prosecutors alleged she accepted bribes from oil industry figures in exchange for lucrative contracts. After over 46 hours of deliberation, the jury returned not guilty verdicts, a major blow to British authorities who had investigated for more than a decade. Two co-defendants, Olatimbo Ayinde and Doye Agama, were also acquitted.

The operation targets vehicles without proper registration, those with covered or obscured plates, and those displaying unauthorized or fictitious numbers.
