LP Chieftain Arabambi Sues CCB Over Obi’s Asset Declaration

Chief Abayomi Arabambi, a Labour Party (LP) chieftain, has sued the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in the Federal High Court in Abuja over its alleged refusal to provide a certified true copy of Peter Obi’s asset declaration. In letters dated August 31 and October 8, 2026, Arabambi requested under the Freedom of Information Act the details and attachments to Obi’s declarations filed in 2006 and 2014, before and after his governorship of Anambra State. The suit also names the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, asking the court to declare that they must set terms for access to the records. Obi served as Anambra governor for the APGA from March 17, 2006, to March 17, 2014.
