Lualaba: Agricultural Financing at the Heart of the Fight Against Food Dependence

In Kolwezi, large-scale farmers in Lualaba were briefed on support and financing mechanisms for their agricultural activities. They raised issues such as mining threats on their concessions, seed access, and land document security. Provincial Agriculture Minister Jean-Pierre Kalenga Mupataie assured government support and emphasized the importance of financial mechanisms to develop commercial agriculture. The meeting also outlined the national agricultural development strategy focusing on seeds, fertilizers, mechanization, storage, processing, and marketing.
