Lubero: classes resume in Mayeba, one month after the school start

Four weeks after the start of the 2026-2027 school year, classes resumed in Mayeba, located in the Bapere sector of Lubero (North Kivu), following the deployment of the Congolese armed forces and Wazalendo to address rebel ADF attacks. Some schools, such as Lumba in Ngere and Mbimbinabo in Njiapanda, remain temporarily relocated due to ongoing insecurity. Security forces distributed school supplies to encourage students and teachers and to reassure them about the improving security situation.
