Lubumbashi: Police bans opposition march on Tuesday and warns against public disorder

The police banned the opposition march scheduled for September 15 in Lubumbashi, warning against any disruptive behavior. General Blaise Kilimbalimba, provincial commissioner of the Congolese National Police, urged the public to go about their activities while warning of consequences for those who disturb public order. Acting mayor Joyce Tunda had already prohibited the demonstration, citing the need to maintain public order.
