Urban Transport: What Will Happen to TER Users if the Strike Breaks Out

The staff delegates of the TER operating company (SETER) filed a 30-day strike notice on September 10 due to a lack of responses to their demands, including a housing allowance and a collective agreement. If no agreement is reached, tens of thousands of Dakar residents could be deprived of their daily means of transport. The TER, which carries an average of 80,000 passengers daily, connects Dakar to Diamniadio over 36 kilometers and serves thirteen stations.
