Plateau State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has lifted the temporary ban on cattle movement to the Kara Livestock Market in Bukuru, following an attack by unidentified gunmen that resulted in one death and seven injuries among traders. The ban, imposed on October 6, was a response to the attack on a bus carrying traders returning from the market. After consultations with community leaders and a government investigation into the incident, MACBAN decided to rescind the suspension due to concerns over the livelihood of Fulani cattle owners.
