Madueke scores only goal as below-par Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest

Noni Madueke scored 10 minutes from full-time to give Arsenal a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Arsenal were below par and had not recorded a shot on target before Madueke’s winner, but the victory moved them to within three points of Premier League leaders Manchester City. After a 3-0 defeat at Brighton on September 19, Mikel Arteta’s side have won three consecutive matches and six of their last seven league games. Arsenal travel to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday before hosting Everton next weekend.
