Magal des 2 Rakkas: Saint-Louis celebrates its 50th edition dedicated to Serigne Touba

Saint-Louis is celebrating the 50th edition of the Magal des 2 Rakkas from September 3 to 5, 2026, primarily at the Baya square. The sponsorship is dedicated to Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba, the founder of Mouridism, to commemorate his religious act on September 5, 1895. A ceremony dedicated to the Quran will take place on September 4, followed by the traditional prayer of the two units on September 5, led by Imam Serigne Mame Mor Mbacké ibn Serigne Mourtalla.
