Makinde, APM sue Abia Gov, Otti over N200m campaign fee for presidential candidates

The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, has sued the Abia State Government and Governor Alex Otti over the alleged imposition of a mandatory campaign fee of N200 million. The plaintiffs argue that this fee violates the Constitution and the Electoral Act 2026. They are also seeking to have the regulation annulled and an injunction to prevent the enforcement of this exorbitant fee.
