Makinde warns Oyo monarchs against partisan politics, urges neutrality

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde warned traditional rulers against engaging in partisan politics and urged them to remain neutral ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the commissioning of the reconstructed palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, he emphasized that monarchs should accommodate all political candidates and avoid favoritism. Makinde stressed the importance of traditional leaders' neutrality in maintaining stability and unity within society.
