Submissions close on November 30, and the award is due to be presented in mid-December. Its launch comes amid debate over AI in French literature, after Canadian publisher Boréal confirmed that Thelyson Orelien used AI in writing his novel, which won the FNAC prize before he was dropped from the Goncourt shortlist.
