Malala Dismisses Fallout Claims With Gachagua, Says Opposition Remains United

Cleophas Malala, Deputy Party Leader of the Democracy for the Citizens’ Party (DCP), has strongly denied rumors of a rift with party leader Rigathi Gachagua, calling them propaganda aimed at weakening the opposition ahead of the 2027 General Election. Speaking at a burial ceremony in Kakamega, he reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and criticized President William Ruto's administration for neglecting development projects in the area. Malala also questioned plans to establish Ebola quarantine facilities in Kakamega, urging residents to oppose their proposed locations.
