Malami petitions police over demolition of property in Kebbi

Abubakar Malami, former Attorney General of the Federation and African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Kebbi State, petitioned the state police commissioner after a building was demolished in Birnin Kebbi. The property on Sani Abacha Road reportedly housed the Malami Pressure Group, a political support organisation. Malami directed his lawyers to establish ownership, pursue legal action and seek compensation, while the ADC urged supporters not to take the law into their own hands. The Kebbi State Government denied involvement and said the allegations were intended to create a rift between Governor Nasir Idris and Malami.
