Malaysia’s Eain, Sivasangari book LA28 Olympics berth with Asian Games gold

Eain Yow Ng and Sivasangari Subramaniam made history by becoming the first squash players to qualify for the Summer Olympics after winning gold medals at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Eain, ranked 18th in the world, defeated India’s Abhay Singh in straight sets, while Sivasangari, ranked 5th, quickly beat India’s Anahat Singh in the final. Their victories secured Malaysia’s fifth and sixth gold medals at the Games, and Eain became the first Malaysian to qualify for the Olympics in squash.
