Mali: FAMa Strike Several Terrorist Positions in Three Regions

Mali’s General Staff says the FAMa struck suspected armed-group positions in the regions of Ménaka, Mopti and Ségou on October 22, 2026, as part of Operation Dougoukoloko. A position described as a major gathering point about 50 km south of Ménaka was hit after intelligence and observation confirmed the target; another gathering was struck near the village of Piron in Mopti. In Ségou, three armed individuals on motorcycles were neutralized near Moutégué after being spotted in several areas. Reconnaissance operations are continuing to assess the strikes and search for any remaining threats.
