Mali: Over 30 Malian soldiers killed in clashes at Anéfis

Around thirty Malian soldiers were killed and about sixty wounded in clashes over control of Anéfis in northern Mali, involving the army and Tuareg separatists, according to General Jean Elysée Dao. The Tuareg rebels claim to have inflicted the heaviest losses on Malian soldiers and Russian paramilitaries, while the army and Russian forces retook the town. Jihadists from JNIM and separatists from the FLA had attacked the town on July 4.
