Mali: three death sentences and one life imprisonment in Gao

During the first session of the criminal chamber of the Gao High Court, held from October 6 to 8, three defendants were sentenced to death, one received life imprisonment, and four others were sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison. Nine cases involving eleven accused persons, covering crimes such as murders, killings, deadly assaults, rape, and sexual offenses against minors, were reviewed. The hearings were presided over by Gaoussou Sanogo with the presence of Prosecutor Mahamadou Coulibaly, ensuring the defendants' rights were upheld.
