Mali’s Defence Minister Sadio Camara killed amid coordinated attacks

Mali’s Defence Minister Sadio Camara was killed by a car bomb outside his residence near Bamako on April 25, 2026. The attack was carried out by jihadist and rebel groups, including the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) and the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM).
