Mama Teacher: ‘I macheted her neck, hand and thighs’ — murder suspect confesses

Ogun State police arrested Saburi Lateef Ayinde, known as “OKI-OCEAN,” on October 19 over the killing of 61-year-old retired teacher Adedotun Adeteju Oluwaseun, whose body was found at her Abeokuta home on February 28, 2026. In a confessional video, Ayinde says he killed her with a cutlass on February 27 after an argument over ₦3.45 million he had entrusted to her and a promised ₦1.55 million loan to buy a car. He says he took the victim’s phone, which investigators tracked to connect him to the crime. Police say he will be charged in court once their investigation is complete.

The procedure is reportedly linked to the death of Manassé Lomboto, a young ADD Congo activist who died after being violently beaten during the coalition’s September 15 march in Kinshasa. The investigation is ongoing; the opposition alleges a trap, authorities reject the accusations, and the city’s official death toll lists no fatalities.
