Mambilla: ‘Ex-AGF, Malami acted against Nigeria’s interest’ — ICC tribunal

The International Chamber of Commerce arbitration tribunal found that former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami and Leno Adesanya of Sunrise Power reached a corrupt deal regarding the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project. The tribunal rejected Sunrise's claims against Nigeria, stating that the settlement agreement lacked the necessary presidential approval and was unenforceable. Malami was also accused of soliciting a bribe and providing incorrect information to former President Muhammadu Buhari about the financial implications of the settlement.
