Maniema: ARSP looks to cassiterite to create new opportunities for local entrepreneurs

The Authority for the Regulation of Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP) is urging Maniema entrepreneurs to prepare for business opportunities linked to cassiterite mining, with production expected to begin in 2027. ARSP Director General Juan Ted Beleshayi Kasanda and Governor Moïse Mussa Kabwankubi discussed the prospects in Kindu on October 24, along with projects to increase Congolese companies’ participation in subcontracting markets. Several companies are interested in producing and exploiting the mineral, and the ARSP says it will support local businesses and help prepare workers for future jobs, though available positions will be limited.
