Manipur musician killed in Indian capital, reviving racism concerns

Vikram Chongtham Singh, a renowned guitarist from Manipur, was killed in New Delhi following an altercation with a group of men. The 54-year-old succumbed to his injuries in a hospital after being left unconscious in the stairs of his apartment building. His death has revived concerns over the persistent racial discrimination faced by people from northeastern states of India, as Manipur enters its fourth year of civil war.
