Marie-Louise Eta, Carolina, others - Five female coaches of male football teams

Marie-Louise Eta was appointed interim head coach of Union Berlin's men's team on April 12, 2026, becoming the first woman to manage a men's side in Bundesliga history. Carolina Morace was one of the first women to coach a men's team in Europe in 1999 with Viterbese. Helena Costa made history in 2014 as the first woman to lead a professional men's team in France but resigned shortly after. Sabrina Wittmann has also taken on a prominent role as interim head coach at Ingolstadt, highlighting the challenges women face in football.
