Mark faction writes CJN, urges swift Supreme Court verdict on ADC

The faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by former Senate President David Mark has written to the Chief Justice of Nigeria urging a swift judgment on a leadership dispute within the party. Mark is contesting a March 12 decision by the Court of Appeal that directed all parties to maintain the status quo in a case brought by aggrieved members. In a letter dated April 28, 2026, the faction warned that any delay in the Supreme Court's decision could jeopardize the party's participation in the 2027 general elections.
