Faris Moumbagna, the Cameroonian striker who has seen little playing time at Olympique de Marseille this season, has been asked to play for the reserve team to regain fitness and match rhythm. According to RMC Sport, the 26-year-old reacted badly to the decision, which followed a disappointing substitute appearance against Olympiakos in the Europa League. He continues to train with the first team but was left out of Marseille’s last three matchday squads. With Amine Gouiri and Neal Maupay ahead of him, Moumbagna will need to regain the coaching staff’s confidence to earn first-team minutes again.
