Martinez Zogo case: Lieutenant-Colonel Ayissi Nanga vows to reveal the identities of the real masterminds on October 28

Lieutenant-Colonel Parfait Arnaud Ayissi Nanga is due to resume his testimony on October 28 before the Yaoundé Military Tribunal, after the previous hearing was suspended at 9:27 p.m. A former commander of the Mfoundi territorial gendarmerie and the prosecution’s 36th witness, he says he can identify the mastermind behind journalist Martinez Zogo’s murder; Zogo’s body was found in Soa in January 2023. Since beginning his testimony, Ayissi Nanga has alleged that he faced pressure and implicated Secretary of State Galax Etoga and Martin Savom, whom he accuses of an alleged assassination attempt in Ebolowa in August 2026. His allegations, along with his references to meetings and recordings, have yet to be corroborated, and those named are presumed innocent.
