Mary Habila told boyfriend she had nosebleed night before death — Umahi

Minister of Works David Umahi said that Mary Habila, a nurse, spoke with her boyfriend the night before her death, complaining of a nosebleed. Habila died on June 27, 2026, in a guest house within Umahi's residence in Uburu, Ebonyi State. Umahi called for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and clarified that the deceased was a nurse, not a physiotherapist. Her boyfriend advised her to report the bleeding to her boss, but after hanging up, she stopped answering her phone.
