Masisi: Clashes between the army and AFC/M23 rebels reported around Burora hill, near Ngungu

The security situation in the Ufamandu 1st group, North Kivu, is volatile with clashes reported between AFC/M23 rebels and the FARDC, supported by wazalendo, around Burora hill near Ngungu. Heavy and light weapon fire was heard, and fighting intensified after government forces regained control of several villages. The advance towards Ngungu could open a new route towards Rubaya, a strategic mining town, where recent fighting has already occurred.
