A week after the school year began, schools in the Nyamaboko 1st grouping in the Masisi territory remain closed due to ongoing insecurity. Clashes between AFC/M23 rebels and the wazalendo have forced many students and teachers to flee the area. Several localities are now under the control of AFC/M23, and parents fear that their children's education will be severely disrupted.
