May Day 2026: Borno LG workers protest non-implementation of N70,000 minimum wage

Local government workers in Borno State protested on Friday in Maiduguri against the non-implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage by the state government. NLC Chairman Yusuf Inuwa stated that workers were among the most affected by the current economic hardship. While the wage has been implemented for teachers and healthcare workers, local government staff have yet to benefit.
