May Day: ‘We will continue to prioritise workers’ welfare’ — Gov Idris

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris reaffirmed his administration's commitment to workers' welfare during the 2026 International Workers' Day celebration. He announced that over N10 billion has been paid as gratuities to retirees and introduced a N75,000 minimum wage. Idris also emphasized the importance of inclusivity by including women in key leadership positions and promised to continue engaging with labor unions to improve productivity and workers' welfare.
