Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Lyle Foster recalled to Bafana Bafana's preliminary squad for Kenya clashes

Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Lyle Foster have been recalled to Bafana Bafana’s 38-player preliminary squad for two 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against co-hosts Kenya next month. Mbokazi missed South Africa’s opening wins over Guinea (2-1) and Eritrea (5-0) through injury; those results put the team top of Group D. Coach Pitso Mosimane has also included newcomers Thakasani Mbanjwa, Nkosikhona Radebe and Aden McCarthy, along with midfielders Thalente Mbatha, Luke Le Roux and Lebohang Maboe. Foster returns after missing the previous camp because of limited playing time.
