2027: Benue too blessed to be poor - NDC guber candidate

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections in Benue State, Prof. Terhemba Shija, stated that the state has sufficient agricultural and economic potential to overcome poverty. He noted that only 36% of arable land is currently utilized and that subsistence farming predominates, limiting productivity. Despite this, Benue is the leading producer of several crops, including cassava and yams.
