Mexico teachers warn ‘ball won’t roll’ as World Cup protests intensify

Protesting teachers toppled statues of football players on Mexico City's Paseo de la Reforma and threaten growing protests before the World Cup. The dissident wing of the national teachers' union (CNTE) demands a 100% salary raise and opposes pension reforms. Police dispersed a march on Monday with tear gas but did not intervene on Tuesday.
