Mexico: Thousands gather for 19th annual Zombie Walk

Thousands of people dressed as zombies marched through Mexico City on Sunday for the 19th annual Zombie Walk. Participants of all ages, including zombie clowns and someone dressed as a rat, walked, danced and performed acrobatic moves. Graphic designer César López said Mexico’s tradition of playing with death and making fun of it helps explain the event’s appeal. Makeup artists were also on hand to help participants transform into zombies.
