During preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Michael Ngadeu stated that the Cameroon national team players still do not know who authored the letter read in the team’s camp, which had caused tensions between the Cameroonian Football Federation and the Ministry of Sports. The letter, read in front of the team during a meeting organized by André Onana, advocated for Joachim Mununga to be on the bench.
