Middle East: Maintaining the Ceasefire, 'Absolute Priority' for China in Pakistan

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that maintaining the ceasefire between the United States and Iran is the 'absolute priority' for resolving the conflict during a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed that the ceasefire had 'held' and that efforts were underway to resolve the remaining disputes. Wang Yi also mentioned that the Sino-Pakistani peace plan could still be useful in seeking a resolution.
