Middle East War: Iran announces closure of Strait of Hormuz

Iran announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz following US airstrikes early Thursday on Qeshm Island, Minab, Sirik, and the port of Bandar Abbas. Tehran retaliated by striking US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, vowing to target any vessel entering the strait. The Revolutionary Guards' Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters declared the strait closed to all ships, including oil tankers and cargo vessels.
