Military strikes alone can’t end terrorism — Gbenga Hashim

Former presidential candidate Gbenga Hashim warned that Nigeria cannot defeat insurgency through military operations alone. He emphasized the need to address poverty, unemployment, and social breakdown fueling violent extremism. Hashim also noted that over 18,000 Nigerians have been killed by terrorism in the past three years, and more than 18 million children remain vulnerable to indoctrination by terror groups.
