Mimiko mourns Uduaghan, hails him as a detribalised statesman

Former Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko has mourned former Delta State Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, who died on October 19, 2026, after an illness. Mimiko described him as a compassionate doctor, a detribalised statesman and a bridge-builder across party lines. Uduaghan served Delta State as Commissioner for Health, Secretary to the State Government and governor. Mimiko offered condolences to Uduaghan’s wife Roli, his children, his family and the people of Delta State, noting that he died just days before his 72nd birthday.
