Mimoun Azzouz Wins Prestigious UK Award for Gene Therapy

Moroccan researcher Mimoun Azzouz has been awarded the 'Outstanding Achievement Award' by the British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy for his significant contributions to gene therapy research. Leading the Gene Therapy Innovation and Manufacturing Centre at the University of Sheffield, Azzouz has advanced research on conditions such as spinal muscular atrophy and Parkinson's disease. He also emphasized the importance of training young scientists and expressed optimism about Morocco's scientific future.
