Minim-Martap Bauxite: Takeovers Panel Regulates A2MP's Exchanges with AFG Bank on 82 Billion FCFA Loan

On September 14, 2026, the Takeovers Panel accepted commitments limiting direct exchanges between A2MP Investments and AFG Bank Cameroon regarding the financing of the Minim-Martap bauxite project. This measure concerns a syndicated loan of 82 billion FCFA granted to Camalco Cameroon, a subsidiary of Canyon Resources. A2MP, the main shareholder of Canyon, will no longer be able to communicate directly with AFG Bank without the presence of a member of Canyon's independent committee.
