Professor Sidy Alpha Ndiaye resigned from his positions as Deputy Minister-Director of the President's Cabinet and Coordinator of the Legal Pole of the Presidency on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. A member of the National Movement of Pastef Executives (MONCAP), he cited moral, ethical, and political reasons. He believes that the idea of a plébiscited political majority that does not fully govern contradicts the "Projet de rupture" he was supposed to implement. His departure came less than 24 hours after the formation of the new government led by Prime Minister Al Aminou Lo.
